23-29 June 2014
Brussels Midi Station, Saint-Gilles, Brussels, Belgium

In 2013, in collaboration with Magnum Photos, UNEP harnessed the talents of some of the best photographers in the world to capture the work being done by UNEP and its partners to support the three objectives of the SE4ALL initiative: ensuring universal access to modern energy services; doubling the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency; doubling the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.

From the transition to energy efficient lighting in Chile, to bus rapid transit improvements in Ethopia, these stories demonstrate solutions that can be replicated around the world to help keep global warming to just 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

These stories form the exhibition “We Have The Power: Efficient, Renewable, Affordable” which is , open to the public during the European Union Sustainable Energy Week, from 23-29 June at Brussels Midi Station. This exhibition is part of ENRTP SE4ALL project, supported by the European Commission under the Thematic Programme for Environment and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources including Energy (ENRTP).

As governments gathered at the COP19 conference in Warsaw to discuss international efforts on climate change, UNEP organized a sneak preview of its upcoming campaign We have the power, developed with Magnum. This campaign is a contribution to SE4All. UNEP has made the link between both agendas, demonstrating actions that help achieve the objectives of SE4All and deliver on climate goals.
